Quality Scoring

Know how good your prompt is before you send it

Why this matters

Real-time scoring analyzes your prompt across five key dimensions and tells you exactly what to add or change. Teams using quality scoring see measurably better AI outputs with fewer retries.

How it works

The quality scorer runs locally as you type. It evaluates your prompt against five criteria and combines them into a single 0-100 score. The score updates in real-time with color coding: red (needs work), yellow (decent), green (strong).

The five scoring dimensions

1. Role clarity: Does the prompt assign a clear persona or expertise? (e.g., "Act as a financial analyst...") 2. Task specificity: Is the core task clearly defined? Vague requests score low. 3. Output format: Does it specify the expected structure? (bullets, table, JSON, etc.) 4. Constraints: Are there guardrails on length, tone, audience, or scope? 5. Context: Does the prompt provide enough background for the AI to work with?

Improving your score

The scorer highlights which dimensions are weak. If your score is 45 and missing a role, adding "Act as a senior marketing copywriter" could jump it to 60+. Each dimension contributes roughly 20 points to the total.
